Tiger Woods Reaction Post
I have never really been a fan of golf but if I were a die hard Tiger Woods fan I think that his apology was sincere and that he really knows what he did wrong. Tiger Woods sounded like he knew what he was doing treatment wise and spoke as if he is extremly serious about it. As a reporter I think that his apology was sincere and he knew what he was talking about. Tiger Woods knew his mistakes and knew the road to recovery that he would have to take. I think that he really means his apology but I believe that it would be more sincere if he didnt keep looking down at his papers.

CNN Article Assignment- Feb. 4th
The article I read was about a man who was attacked by a shark on the coast of Florida while kite surfing. I wonder what caused the shark to first attack? I think it is crazy that after one shark attacks many more come to feed. I hope that I never get attacked by a shark!
Chapter 3 Notes
Definition of Broadcast Journalism: a recall of events that interest and concern the public. Airing news instantaneously. TV, radio and internet
Chapter 3- The News
-What is the news?
1. Unusualness: more often found in bad news, out of the ordinary, the usual
2. Significance: important events
3. Timeliness: current events
4. Proximity: nearby events
5. Prominence: when well known people, places and things are invovled
6. Human Intrest: stories about animals, humorous of ordinary people
-Difference between print journalism and broadcast journalism.
Print journalism is slower way of getting facts that are recent. Newspapers and magazines are two different types of print media. Print media provides in-depth coverage where broadcast journalism is more of the short and simple story. Broadcast journalism is the quickest way to hear about fast breaking news. These stories are usually dramatic, traffic and serious events that happend through out the day.
-Find an example of a story for each of the 6 criteria of newsworthiness.
1. Unusualness: Man Trapped in Corn Bin in Farmington
2. Significance: The New Old War-- Starting Over in Afghanistan
3. Timeliness: Brittany Murphy's Death Ruled Accident
4. Proximity: Woman Charged with Stealing from School District
5. Prominence: Obama Wades into Prayer Policies with Tim Tebow
6. Human Intrest: Shark Kills Man on Florida Beach

Definition of Broadcast Journalism
The definition of broadcast journalism for me is going out and getting a story, editing it and then broadcasting it to the public. This can be done through the computer, telephones, texting, but the most popular is television.
Real Definition: airing news/current events instantaneously through T.V, radio, or the internet.

USA Today Response Article
I read the article 'Groundhog Predicts Six More Weeks of Winter'. I think that Groundhogs day is a fictional day. By saying that if a ground hog sees its shadow does not mean that there will be six more weeks of winter. March can be one of the snowiest months of the year. If the ground hog does not see its shadow then it is said that spring will come early. In Minnesota spring does not come till March has ended. Either way if the ground hog sees its shadow or not there will be six more weeks of winter.

Interview
Today I interviewed Jordan Bolger. Jordan is currently a sophomore at Eastview High School. He enjoys playing basketball and is on the sophomore team for his school. Jordan also enjoys running cross country and reading. His favorite book is The Shack by William Young. Jordan is taking Intro to Broadcasting Journalism because he is planning on being involved in the 4-cast next year. Jordan is a very unique person. One thing that I learned that was pretty cool and shocking was that he has never been out of Minnesota with the exception of visiting Canada and North Dakota.
